After years of running jewelry and craft galleries, I stumbled upon my own passion... the beautiful broken world of mosaics. It was like discovering a close friend. Armed with vitreous glass, stained glass, smalti, and a trove of vintage oddities, I embark on each piece differently. A journey of hand-cutting, playful themes, and color and texture juxtapositions. From geometric experiments to vintage reveries and downright odd concoctions, I create functional art and small to medium wall pieces. Every piece tells a story, from the tesserae tapestry of my brain. Currently I am obsessed with creating small creatures from the odd little parts and pieces from tool drawers, antique keys, watch parts, and electrical smalls. My robots, odd characters, and monsters sit on a background of glass mosaic.
