Inspyrd Jewelry Design
I was raised in the Midwest on the Mississippi river and collected rocks my entire life. Wire wrapping is a process of creating a wire frame to incapsulate the stone, holding the stone firm without the use of glues.
The frames I create for my pendants typically utilize 5 to 10 individual wires stacked horizontally to form the frame. Once the frame is completed then a design is made to accentuate the stone. I feel it is important for the back of the pendant to also be appealing, I frequently use my “frog design” on the back of the pendants.
Over the past 14 years I have cultivated my styles and designs to openly display the stones without creating distractions from the wrapping.
The wires used on my wrapped pendants are sterling silver, gold, and copper.
