From an early age, I knew I wanted to be an artist, and spent early years taking Saturday morning oil painting classes. I received a BFA degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MA degree from the University of New Mexico, showing my work in galleries and juried shows. I paint in both oil and watercolor and experiment with abstract monotypes. My artwork was featured in an article in Artist Magazine. I am a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, San Diego Watercolor Society, and New Mexico Watercolor Society. This year I was made a Member of the Watercolor Honor Society at Watercolor USA 2026 Exhibition, Missouri. Recently I had paintings purchased for The New Mexico Art in Public Places Program in Red River, The Village of Questa, and Santa Fe; and recently for the Bernalillo County 1% for Public Art Program. My art is shaped by experiences hiking through deserts and forests, where the subtle beauty of wild places continues to inspire me. I often sketch and paint plein air to capture a scene’s colors and atmosphere, then return to the studio to explore emotion through shape, pattern, and design. I view my landscapes as theatrical reflections of an inner response—personal yet universally resonant. In an increasingly disconnected world, I hope my paintings offer a return to natural beauty and to memory.
