Movement, shape, color and line are highlighted in the texturally rich abstracted pieces created by Peggy Trigg. She creates intuitively starting with a simple color palette and then adding shape after shape to create her designs.

Her fiber pieces are all one of a kind. The colors used, the shapes and lines all represent what moves the artist that particular day. Most often the combining of the shapes is done in the piecing and applique method. The quilting is machine done with either straight stitch of free motion. Sometime she tops her designs with embroidery or additional applique.

In her mixed media pieces, Peggy uses texture mediums and collage to create her abstracted pieces. Often, she incorporated fiber into these pieces to bridge the gap between fiber and painting. She is constantly exploring and pushing her creativity.
