I grew up on a small farm in Perry, Iowa. As a young child, I spent time from morning to evening running through the creeks and cornfields of the countryside. My respect and love of nature is reflected in my work. Today, I spend time walking along the ditch banks in the North Valley of Albuquerque. Surrounding landscapes and wildlife influence my work.

I enjoy working with contrasting textures and various glazes on my hand built and wheel thrown pieces. Crystalline glazes intrigue me with the bright crystal patterns they form. Experimenting with these glazes are an adventure which I will continue to explore.
