Art has always been the predominant force in Vivian’s life. She began studies at The Art Student’s League in New York City at age 12 and then spent many years studying different methods and media. As a professional artist (specializing in glass) for 40 years, some of Vivian’s clients include The South Street Seaport Museum in New York City, The Barnum Museum in Bridgeport, Connecticut, The St. Louis Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Missouri and Divine Mercy Parish in Gardner, Kansas where she spent four years designing, building and installing 48 stained glass windows for the sanctuary and entry hall. Vivian was listed in Restoration Products News January/February 1981 and in The Old House Journal Catalog, 1982, as an “expert designer and colorist”.
