At age 12, I studied life drawing at the Art Student’s League in NYC, then attended Philadelphia College of Art summer program, the Cleveland Institute of Art, the Vancouver School of Art and graduated with a Fine Art major from Hunter College. As a commissioned artist, I have worked in a variety of media including glass, watercolor, oils and mixed media. My clients include The Hospital for Joint Diseases in NYC, The South Street Seaport Museum in NYC, The Bridgeport Public Library in Bridgeport, CT, The Barnum Museum in Bridgeport, CT, the Missouri Botanic Gardens in St. Louis, MO,, Divine Mercy Parish in Gardner, KS, and private commissions in the US and Canada.
In 2013, I was a member in good standing of the Stained Glass Association of America. In the 1970’s, I was listed as a resource in the Old House Journal and Restoration Product News as an expert colorist and an expert designer of stained and etched glass for specific historical periods. Currently, I am combining my two passions of making art and animal communication. My work offers a deep appreciation and respect for both. My desire is to share what I have learned from animals and to open a bigger experience with all living beings. Each portrait comes with a narrative from that animal. The cut paper technique evolved from many years creating leaded glass panels and allows for subtle details of color and texture.
